Bandai Namco Q1 FY27 earnings results reported US tariff refund

In its Q1 FY27 financial report, Bandai Namco reported that a refund relating to US tariffs was recorded. No amount was disclosed.

Bandai Namco was the latest company to report on its recent quarter as Q1 FY27 came to an end, and it’s also the latest to report a refund related to US tariffs. No amount in its refund was disclosed.

Bandai Namco put out its Q1 FY27 earnings results on its investor relations website. In the supplementary presentation provided with the earnings, Bandai Namco reported the following under its Toy and Hobby Unit:

Recorded a refund related to additional U.S. tariffs in North America.

Bandai Namco certainly did plenty of work on its own. The company had record profits, very much driven by its Toy and Hobby business, which made up 80 percent of its Operating Profit in the previous quarter. Still, Bandai Namco joins Nintendo in reporting a tariff refund this last quarter. However, where Nintendo reported a $300 million refund in its disclosure, Bandai Namco did not share a number related to the tariff refunds.

The United States government has found itself paying out to several companies over Donald Trump’s tariffs, which where found by the Supreme Court to be illegal in February 2026. With Bandai Namco being the latest to report benefits, stay tuned to the tariffs topic for more news and updates.
